Rachel “Earline” Bynum [1935 - 2022]

Rachel Earline Bynum, age 87, known to her friends as Earline, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022.  She was born to Earl Cleveland Swanner and Atrice Iona Stokley Swanner in the community of Newsome, Texas March 21, 1935.

Earline was active in her community and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wolfe City for as long as she was able to attend church.
She worked in the school cafeteria and as a seamstress.  She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and working puzzles.  When she was younger, she and her husband would invite friends over and play 42 tournaments.

Earline is survived by her children Elizabeth Creed and husband Skipper, Kathy Maddox, Becky Dunson and husband Matt, Wanda Dawson and husband David, and Mike Bynum and wife Joann and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.  She is also survived by her sister Linda Bynum and sister-in-law Sheila Dicksons.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry Odell Bynum, one grandson, Ezekiel Dunson, and one great-grandchild, Avery Davidson.

The funeral will be conducted by Dr. Jim Gatliff, at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Owens Funeral Chapel, 200 S Santa Fe, Wolfe City, Texas.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, May 16, 2022, at Owens Funeral Chapel.  Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Michael “Mike” Edward Williams [1957 - 2022]

Michael Edward (Mike) Williams, 64, of Wolfe City, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville.   Mike was born October 12, 1957, to E. E. (Bud) and Jean Lunsford Williams. He has lived in Wolfe City all his life. He graduated from Wolfe City High School with the class of 1976.

He liked fishing, watching sports, baseball, football and hockey. He also enjoyed being out at the rock pit. His entire working career was spent at Ennis Tag and Label in Wolfe City. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors are his brother, Ricky Williams and numerous cousins and extended family and many, many friends.

Services for Mike will be conducted by Tim Hearn, Tuesday, May 10, 2022, 2:00 P. M. at the First Baptist Church in Wolfe City. Visitation will be at 1:00 P. M. just before the service.  Pallbearers will be members of the Wolfe City Volunteer Fire Department.  Gene Dawson, will be the honorary pallbearer.
