Patsy Jo (Pickitt) Belcher [1936 - 2021]

Patsy Jo Pickitt Belcher, 84, of Garland (formerly of Commerce), died peacefully and went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021.  She was the daughter of W.H. Pickitt and Clara Tippett Pickitt Love. 

Patsy was born and grew up in Commerce, TX, where she spent most of her time with her grandparents, Annie and Daddy Tom Tippett, while her mother, Clara worked as a single mother after the death of Patsy’s father, Howard. She attended schools at Commerce, TX and Texarkana High where she graduated.

Commerce is where she met the love of her life Grady Doyle and shortly after a few months of courtship they were married which resulted in 51 years of marriage. Throughout their marriage they lived in Dallas, Grapevine, Southlake, Wolfe City, Pottsboro, Atlanta, Commerce, Denison. Patsy has resided with her daughter Stacie for the past four years in Garland, TX.

She was a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and attended church when possible. She served the Lord as a servant in the Baptist Church in her younger years as a Sunday school teacher, youth choir leader, church choir, and made several Church camp trips as a supervisor/counselor.

She enjoyed sewing, working in the yard, planting flowers, family camping trips, weekends with the kids and grandkids.

Patsy worked most of her life in several occupations: retail, telephone operator, production lines and secretary.  She retired later in life to take care of Doyle after his stroke.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Stacie Lynette Caldwell; son, Stephen Mark Belcher; grandchildren, James McConnell, Christopher McConnell, Douglas Pirkle, Timothy Belcher, Mindy Hawthorne, Joshua Caldwell and Kristen Caldwell; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  She is also survived by her brother, Rodney Love; sister, Vicki Al-Dubais and many nieces and nephews who will always remember their Aunt Pat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Doyle, son Clay Douglas Belcher and granddaughter Melanie Belcher.

Terry Jean Arnold [1959 - 2021]

Terry Jean Arnold, age 61, passed away January 26, 2021 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano.  She was born to Ernest Eugene and Mary Lynn Maloney Harvey March 13, 1959 in Dallas.
Terry graduated from Kimble High School in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, then she married Dennis Arnold February 23, 1980 in Rockwall.  Terry enjoyed exercising, working out and aerobics, natural health research, reading about health-related advances.  She especially loved being with family and friends and especially being with her grandchildren and around lots of dogs and had a pack of four legged family members.  She and Dennis enjoyed spending time in Galveston.
She and Dennis raised two children: a son Justin and daughter Jetty.  When she was not caring for her dogs and family, she worked in the insurance business.
There will be a short graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Friday, January 29, 2021.

Betty Evelyn Smith [1937 - 2021]

Betty Evelyn Maples Smith, 83 years old of Wolfe City, Texas passed away on January 23, 2021. Betty was born in Caddo Mills, Texas on June 22, 1937 to W.D Maples and Mackie Lee Reneau Maples. Betty married Ralph Kenneth Smith, November 29,1955 at The First Baptist Church of Wolfe City Texas, where Betty was currently a member. During their marriage they were blessed with two children Robyn Lee and Kenneth Kyle.
Betty worked in the office at Ennis Texas Tag and retired from there after 32 years of employment. She enjoyed bird watching whenever she had the chance.
Betty is survived by her son Kyle (Tara) Smith, her Daughter Robyn (Larry) Underwood. Grandchildren: Falyn Hoskins, Tyler (Annie) Smith, Trent Smith, Lacey Elliott, Jake (Amber) Elliott, Tana (James)White, Cameron Underwood. Great-Grandchildren: Tristyn Snyder, Josh Snyder, Addisen Hennig, Leiton White, Ty Smith, Jacey Elliott, Jaycie Meeks, Cy Smith, Easton Meeks, Maddux Hennig.
Betty was preceded in Death by her Husband, Parents and two Brothers, Bobby Glen Maples and Lawrence Douglas Maples.
The Family would like to thank the many who have prayed for and visited Betty and her Family during her time of illness.

Lola Faye Tucker [1931 - 2021]

​Lola Faye Tucker, age 89, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Dogwood Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care in Palestine, Texas.  She was born to Hiram Joe and Jimmie Faye Sumner Parsons August 20, 1931 in Celeste, TX.
Faye attended Wolfe City High School, then she married Thomas Franklin Tucker.  Her family was important to her, so she took a job working in the school cafeteria while her children were young.  After her children were grown, she worked in the semiconductor industry assembling circuit boards for Recognition Equipment.  In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and vegetables, going to church and being with her church family, and feeding squirrels and birds.  She did not like it when the hawks were watching her bird feeder.
Faye is survived by her children: Layne Ray Tucker of Dallas, Thomas Franklin Tucker, Jr. and wife Marylyn Hoy Bennet of Rusk, Theresa Darlene Fannin Yanosh of Delight, Arkansas, Donald Hubert and wife Mary Durr Tucker of Round Rock, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Robert Wayne and wife Martha Ann Parsons and her sister-in-law Nancy Parsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Billy James and his wife Clara Parsons, Joe Morris Parsons, son Joe Edward Tucker, her husband, and two grandsons, Shayne Ray Tucker and Matthew Fannin.
The graveside service will be conducted by Jonathan Marcoulides, son of Layne Ray Tucker, at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City, TX.  In the event of bad weather, we will move the service to the chapel at the cemetery.  There will be no scheduled visitation; visitors are welcome to come by Owens funeral home to sign the book.

JERRY LEE KHAN [1939 - 2021]

​Jerry Lee Khan went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 11, 2021, at the age of 81. He was born on April 24, 1939 in New York City, New York. He honorably served in the
United States Air Force from Aug 31, 1956 to Dec 9, 1960. He had an innate talent to work with his hands installing customized laminate plastics in residential homes/ commercial businesses. He worked in the laminate plastics installation industry which
expanded over 40 years and career span. Upon retirement, He pursued his passion for fishing, traveling, playing cards/dominoes and spending time with his family. Jerry is preceded in death by Warris Khan (Father), Lona Mae “Estes” Robinson (Mother) and
Jerry Lee Khan Jr (Son). He is survived by his sister Mrs. Ramona Burgin, of Ft. Worth, Texas, four (4) sons; David Khan, Michael Khan, Bart Khan from Longview, Texas, and Kenneth Khan from San Antonio, Texas. Three (3) three daughters Becky Hill from Texarkana, Texas, Kimberly Khan from Longview, Texas and Holly Khan from Youngstown, Ohio. He was a proud Grandfather of sixteen (16) Grandchildren and seven (7) Great-Grand Children and numerous extended family members.
